Hobart hopes for lift from city deal

“ASSISTANT Minister for Cities and Digital Transformation Angus Taylor has visited Hobart to look at projects that might be considered as part of a federally funded “city deal”.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull signed a city deal with Launceston in April.

Mr Taylor yesterday visited Macquarie Point, inspected the city’s disused rail corridor, met Lord Mayor Sue Hickey and discussed the university’s STEM Centre proposal with UTAS Vice Chancellor Peter Rathjen.”
