Testing demand for Macquarie Point

November 4, 2015

Please note the registrations of interest period closed 26 November, 2015.

The Macquarie Point Development Corporation (corporation) wants to hear from anyone who might be interested in renting business premises in any future developments on the Macquarie Point site, as well as those who may want to either rent or buy residential accommodation.

The corporation is aiming to get a measure of the potential demand that might come from prospective commercial and business tenants, as well as residential tenants or purchasers, to help in its future planning for the 9.3 hectare site.

The information gathered will also help the corporation in its discussions and negotiations with developers over the next 12 to 18 months.

While the registrations of interest (ROI) will be completely non-binding on any party, the corporation will be seeking permission from registrants to provide their details to interested property developers.

In lodging an expression of interest, registrants will be asked for general information about their expectations of a prospective move to Macquarie Point.

For commercial and business tenants, this will cover such issues as the amount of floor space and parking they might require, as well as the preferred timing of their potential move to Macquarie Point.

For those interested in residential accommodation, details will relate to their preference to either buy or rent, the type of accommodation they would prefer (i.e. townhouse or apartment), the number of bedrooms, the expected purchase or rental price range, parking and the type of facilities they would expect to access within the precinct.

Those wishing to register their interest can do so by completing the residential ROI form or the commercial/business ROI form by the due date of Thursday, 26 November, 2015. Printed versions of both forms can be obtained from the corporation by calling +61 3 6166 4000 or emailing
